Teacher Workshops

To introduce secondary school teachers to the Cool School Challenge and how it can be implemented at your school, a series of workshops are being offered in Western Washington. The workshops include an overview of the program and how it can be used to educate students about practical climate solutions and effectively reduce carbon dioxide emissions at your school.

Continuing education units (CEUs) will be provided. Additionally, Puget Sound Energy is offering a $300 stipend to teachers who 1) attend a workshop; 2) subsequently implement the Challenge at their school and complete a brief program evaluation; and 3) teach at a school located within their service territory. This workshop will help you understand everything you need to know to make the Challenge at your school a big success!
